This week my Dad was in town (he drove the kids and I back from Michigan and will be flying home on Tuesday.) Before we arrived he was asking me, "So what is there to do for a whole week in Kansas?" (In Michigan my Dad has been keeping busy by painting his house) So, naturally I said, "Paint!"
I can't give my Dad enough credit for this! If Bryan and I did this ourselves we would have totally screwed it up! Thanks Dad! You have given us more than a paint job...you gave us a new house!

Just so you know what it was like before (I'll have to dig up some pics for a later post of the 'before') EVERYTHING that is White used to be Wood. Including the crown and floor moldings and also the doors. The color is 'lunartide' w/ a darker shade on the walls facing North. We were experimenting w/ the curtain color and length (we like the ones we have but they were out of stock when I went back for more...so we are waiting...) We purchased the lights in the hall and foyer and also the dining room. We also purchased the curtain rod and curtains, everything else was already ours. (Well...the couch and chair are new, they were here before we started.)
The pics look blurry...don't know why...and there are wierd shadows everywhere. The real feeling I get from this 'makeover' is a light, airy, open feeling. Everything looks bigger!
Now...you all have to come to Kansas to see it lol!
